Send Out Your Light

¹ שָׁפְטֵ֤נִי אֱלֹהִ֨ים ׀ וְרִ֘יבָ֤ה רִיבִ֗י מִגּ֥וֹי לֹא־חָסִ֑יד מֵ֤אִישׁ־מִרְמָ֖ה וְעַוְלָ֣ה תְפַלְּטֵֽנִי׃

1 தேவனே, நீர் என் நியாயத்தை விசாரித்து, பக்தியில்லாத ஜாதியாரோடு எனக்காக வழக்காடி, சூதும் அநியாயமுமான மனுஷனுக்கு என்னைத் தப்புவியும்.
1 Vindicate me, O God, and plead my case against an ungodly nation; deliver me from deceitful and unjust men.
1 கடவுளே, என் நேர்மையை § நிலைநாட்டும்; இறைப்பற்றில்லா இனத்தோடு என் வழக்குக்காக வாதிடும்; வஞ்சகமும் கொடுமையும் நிறைந்த மனிதர் கையினின்று என்னை விடுவித்தருளும்.^*

² כִּֽי־אַתָּ֤ה ׀ אֱלֹהֵ֣י מָֽעוּזִּי֮ לָמָ֢ה זְנַ֫חְתָּ֥נִי לָֽמָּה־קֹדֵ֥ר אֶתְהַלֵּ֗ךְ בְּלַ֣חַץ אוֹיֵֽב׃

2 என் அரணாகிய தேவன் நீர்; ஏன் என்னைத் தள்ளிவிடுகிறீர்? சத்துருவினால் ஒடுக்கப்பட்டு, நான் ஏன் துக்கத்துடனே திரியவேண்டும்?
2 For You are the God of my refuge. Why have You rejected me? Why must I walk in sorrow because of the enemy’s oppression?
2 ஏனெனில் கடவுளே! நீரே என் ஆற்றல்; ஏன் என்னை ஒதுக்கித் தள்ளிவிட்டீர்? எதிரியால் ஒடுக்கப்பட்டு, நான் ஏன் துயருடன் நடமாடவேண்டும்?

³ שְׁלַח־אוֹרְךָ֣ וַ֭אֲמִתְּךָ הֵ֣מָּה יַנְח֑וּנִי יְבִיא֥וּנִי אֶל־הַֽר־קָ֝דְשְׁךָ֗ וְאֶל־מִשְׁכְּנוֹתֶֽיךָ׃

3 உமது வெளிச்சத்தையும் உமது சத்தியத்தையும் அனுப்பியருளும்; அவைகள் என்னை நடத்தி, உமது பரிசுத்த பர்வதத்திற்கும் உமது வாசஸ்தலங்களுக்கும் என்னைக் கொண்டுபோவதாக.
3 Send out Your light and Your truth; let them lead me. Let them bring me to Your holy mountain, and to the place where You dwell.
3 உம் ஒளியையும் உண்மையையும் அனுப்பியருளும்; அவை என்னை வழி நடத்தி, உமது திருமலைக்கும் உமது உறைவிடத்திற்கும் கொண்டுபோய்ச் சேர்க்கும்.

⁴ וְאָב֤וֹאָה ׀ אֶל־מִזְבַּ֬ח אֱלֹהִ֗ים אֶל־אֵל֮ שִׂמְחַ֢ת גִּ֫ילִ֥י וְאוֹדְךָ֥ בְכִנּ֗וֹר אֱלֹהִ֥ים אֱלֹהָֽי׃

4 அப்பொழுது நான் தேவனுடைய பீடத்தண்டைக்கும், எனக்கு ஆனந்த மகிழ்ச்சியாயிருக்கிற தேவனிடத்திற்கும் பிரவேசிப்பேன். தேவனே, என் தேவனே, உம்மைச் சுரமண்டலத்தால் துதிப்பேன்.
4 Then I will go to the altar of God, to God, my greatest joy. I will praise You with the harp, O God, my God.
4 அப்பொழுது, நான் கடவுளின் பீடம் செல்வேன்; என் மன மகிழ்ச்சியாகிய இறைவனிடம் செல்வேன்; கடவுளே! என் கடவுளே! யாழிசைத்து ஆர்ப்பரித்து உம்மைப் புகழ்ந்திடுவேன்.

⁵ מַה־תִּשְׁתּ֬וֹחֲחִ֨י ׀ נַפְשִׁי֮ וּֽמַה־תֶּהֱמִ֢י עָ֫לָ֥י הוֹחִ֣ילִי לֽ͏ֵ֭אלֹהִים כִּי־ע֣וֹד אוֹדֶ֑נּוּ יְשׁוּעֹ֥ת פָּ֝נַ֗י וֵֽאלֹהָֽי׃

5 என் ஆத்துமாவே, நீ ஏன் கலங்குகிறாய்? ஏன் எனக்குள் தியங்குகிறாய்? தேவனை நோக்கிக் காத்திரு; என் முகத்திற்கு இரட்சிப்பும் என் தேவனுமாயிருக்கிறவரை நான் இன்னும் துதிப்பேன்.
5 Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why the unease within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise Him, my Savior and my God.
5 என் நெஞ்சே! நீ நம்பிக்கை இழப்பது ஏன்? நீ கலக்கமுறுவது ஏன்? கடவுளையே நம்பியிரு; என் கடவுளின் மீட்புச் செயல்களை முன்னிட்டு இன்னும் நான் அவருக்கு நன்றி செலுத்துவேன்.
