I Lift Up My Eyes to You

A song of ascents.

¹ שִׁ֗יר הַֽמַּ֫עֲל֥וֹת אֵ֭לֶיךָ נָשָׂ֣אתִי אֶת־עֵינַ֑י הַ֝יֹּשְׁבִ֗י בַּשָּׁמָֽיִם׃

1 பரலோகத்தில் வாசமாயிருக்கிறவரே, உம்மிடத்திற்கு என் கண்களை ஏறெடுக்கிறேன்.
1 A song of ascents. I lift up my eyes to You, the One enthroned in heaven.
1 விண்ணுலகில் வீற்றிருப்பவரே! உம்மை நோக்கியே என் கண்களை உயர்த்தியுள்ளேன்.

² הִנֵּ֨ה כְעֵינֵ֪י עֲבָדִ֡ים אֶל־יַ֤ד אֲ‍ֽדוֹנֵיהֶ֗ם כְּעֵינֵ֣י שִׁפְחָה֮ אֶל־יַ֢ד גְּבִ֫רְתָּ֥הּ כֵּ֣ן עֵ֭ינֵינוּ אֶל־יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵ֑ינוּ עַ֝֗ד שֶׁיְּחָנֵּֽנוּ׃

2 இதோ, வேலைக்காரரின் கண்கள் தங்கள் எஜமான்களின் கையை நோக்கியிருக்குமாப்போலவும், வேலைக்காரியின் கண்கள் தன் எஜமாட்டியின் கையை நோக்கியிருக்குமாப்போலவும், எங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் எங்களுக்கு இரக்கஞ்செய்யும்வரைக்கும் எங்கள் கண்கள் அவரை நோக்கியிருக்கிறது.
2 As the eyes of servants look to the hand of their master, as the eyes of a maidservant look to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes are on the LORD our God until He shows us mercy.
2 பணியாளனின் கண்கள் தன் தலைவனின் கைதனை நோக்கியிருப்பதுபோல, பணிப்பெண்ணின் கண்கள் தன் தலைவியின் கைதனை நோக்கியிருப்பதுபோல, எம் கடவுளாகிய ஆண்டவரே! நீர் எமக்கு இரங்கும்வரை, எம் கண்கள் உம்மையே நோக்கியிருக்கும்.

³ חָנֵּ֣נוּ יְהוָ֣ה חָנֵּ֑נוּ כִּֽי־רַ֝֗ב שָׂבַ֥עְנוּ בֽוּז׃

3 எங்களுக்கு இரங்கும் கர்த்தாவே, எங்களுக்கு இரங்கும்; நிந்தனையினால் மிகவும் நிறைந்திருக்கிறோம்.
3 Have mercy on us, O LORD, have mercy, for we have endured much contempt.
3 எங்களுக்கு இரங்கும் ஆண்டவரே! எங்களுக்கு இரங்கும்; அளவுக்கு மேலேயே நாங்கள் இகழ்ச்சி அடைந்துவிட்டோம்.

⁴ רַבַּת֮ שָֽׂבְעָה־לָּ֢הּ נַ֫פְשֵׁ֥נוּ הַלַּ֥עַג הַשַּׁאֲנַנִּ֑ים הַ֝בּ֗וּז לִגְאֵ֥יוֹנִֽים׃

4 சுகஜீவிகளுடைய நிந்தனையினாலும் அகங்காரிகளுடைய இகழ்ச்சியினாலும், எங்கள் ஆத்துமா மிகவும் நிறைந்திருக்கிறது.
4 We have endured much scorn from the arrogant, much contempt from the proud.
4 இன்பத்தில் திளைத்திருப்போரின் வசைமொழி போதும். இறுமாந்த மனிதரின் பழிச்சொல்லும் போதும்.
