Out of the Depths

A song of ascents.

¹ שִׁ֥יר הַֽמַּעֲל֑וֹת מִמַּעֲמַקִּ֖ים קְרָאתִ֣יךָ יְהוָֽה׃

1 கர்த்தாவே, ஆழங்களிலிருந்து உம்மை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிடுகிறேன்.
1 A song of ascents. Out of the depths I cry to You, O LORD!
1 ஆண்டவரே! ஆழ்ந்த துயரத்தில் இருக்கும் நான் உம்மை நோக்கி மன்றாடுகிறேன்;

² אֲדֹנָי֮ שִׁמְעָ֢ה בְק֫וֹלִ֥י תִּהְיֶ֣ינָה אָ֭זְנֶיךָ קַשֻּׁב֑וֹת לְ֝ק֗וֹל תַּחֲנוּנָֽי׃

2 ஆண்டவரே என் சத்தத்தைக் கேளும்; என் விண்ணப்பங்களின் சத்தத்திற்கு உமது செவிகள் கவனித்திருப்பதாக.
2 O Lord, hear my voice; let Your ears be attentive to my plea for mercy.
2 ஆண்டவரே! என் மன்றாட்டுக்குச் செவிசாய்த்தருளும்; என் விண்ணப்பக் குரலை உம்முடைய செவிகள் கவனத்துடன் கேட்கட்டும்.

³ אִם־עֲוֺנ֥וֹת תִּשְׁמָר־יָ֑הּ אֲ֝דֹנָ֗י מִ֣י יַעֲמֹֽד׃

3 கர்த்தாவே, நீர் அக்கிரமங்களைக் கவனித்திருப்பீரானால், யார் நிலைநிற்பான், ஆண்டவரே.
3 If You, O LORD, kept track of iniquities, then who, O Lord, could stand?
3 ஆண்டவரே! நீர் எம் குற்றங்களை மனத்தில் கொண்டிருந்தால், யார்தான் நிலைத்து நிற்க முடியும்?

⁴ כִּֽי־עִמְּךָ֥ הַסְּלִיחָ֑ה לְ֝מַ֗עַן תִּוָּרֵֽא׃

4 உமக்குப் பயப்படும்படிக்கு உம்மிடத்தில் மன்னிப்பு உண்டு.
4 But with You there is forgiveness, so that You may be feared.
4 நீரோ மன்னிப்பு அளிப்பவர்; மனிதரும் உமக்கு அஞ்சி நடப்பர்.

⁵ קִוִּ֣יתִי יְ֭הוָה קִוְּתָ֣ה נַפְשִׁ֑י וְֽלִדְבָר֥וֹ הוֹחָֽלְתִּי׃

5 கர்த்தருக்குக் காத்திருக்கிறேன்; என் ஆத்துமா காத்திருக்கிறது; அவருடைய வார்த்தையை நம்பியிருக்கிறேன்.
5 I wait for the LORD; my soul does wait, and in His word I put my hope.
5 ஆண்டவருக்காக ஆவலுடன் நான் காத்திருக்கின்றேன்; என் நெஞ்சம் காத்திருக்கின்றது; அவரது சொற்களுக்காக ஆவலுடன் காத்திருக்கின்றேன்.

⁶ נַפְשִׁ֥י לַֽאדֹנָ֑י מִשֹּׁמְרִ֥ים לַ֝בֹּ֗קֶר שֹׁמְרִ֥ים לַבֹּֽקֶר׃

6 எப்பொழுது விடியும் என்று விடியற்காலத்துக்குக் காத்திருக்கிற ஜாமக்காரரைப்பார்க்கிலும் அதிகமாய் என் ஆத்துமா ஆண்டவருக்குக் காத்திருக்கிறது.
6 My soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen wait for the morning—more than watchmen wait for the morning.
6 விடியலுக்காய்க் காத்திருக்கும் காவலரைவிட, ஆம், விடியலுக்காய்க் காத்திருக்கும் காவலரைவிட, என் நெஞ்சம் என் தலைவருக்காய் ஆவலுடன் காத்திருக்கின்றது.

⁷ יַחֵ֥ל יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל אֶל־יְה֫וָה כִּֽי־עִם־יְהוָ֥ה הַחֶ֑סֶד וְהַרְבֵּ֖ה עִמּ֣וֹ פְדֽוּת׃

7 இஸ்ரவேல் கர்த்தரை நம்பியிருப்பதாக; கர்த்தரிடத்தில் கிருபையும், அவரிடத்தில் திரளான மீட்பும் உண்டு.
7 O Israel, put your hope in the LORD, for with the LORD is loving devotion, and with Him is redemption in abundance.
7 இஸ்ரயேலே! ஆண்டவரையே நம்பியிரு; பேரன்பு ஆண்டவரிடமே உள்ளது; மிகுதியான மீட்பு அவரிடமே உண்டு.

⁸ וְ֭הוּא יִפְדֶּ֣ה אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל מִ֝כֹּ֗ל עֲוֺנֹתָֽיו׃

8 அவர் இஸ்ரவேலை அதின் சகல அக்கிரமங்களினின்றும் மீட்டுக்கொள்வார்.
8 And He will redeem Israel from all iniquity.
8 எல்லாத் தீவினைகளினின்றும் இஸ்ரயேலரை மீட்பவர் அவரே!^*
